Rainy Day Activities in Tipperary
As we're never short of rainy days in Ireland, here are some ideas for what to do with kids on a rainy day.
1.Visit the Mitchelstown Caves. Don't be misled by the name, the Mitchelstown caves are actually just outside Cahir in Co.Tipperary. The inside of the caves are stunning and may keep the little ones occupied for a while as they take in the sheer size of some of the stalactites. Fun for parents too!
2. Play children's aquaball at the leisure centre in Thurles. On every Friday from 5pm-5.45, it's for all levels of swimmers. And it's also on that night for adults at 9pm.
3. When that's over, why not head down to the revamped IMC Cinema to watch a movie in their new 3D installation.
4. Work off some steam at jump'n'gyms activity centre in Nenagh. www.jumpngyms.ie
5. Visit the Museum of Transport in Clonmel. See old vehicles, signs, period petrol pumps and other items. There is also a coffee shop to have a snack afterwards.
