   The Teacher of The Year is a national awards programme honouring primary and secondary school teachers across Ireland. We are inviting parents, students and friends to nominate teachers they feel deserve the accolade.
Teacher of the Year Awards is being spearheaded by abcbooks.ie and will showcase the shining lights that are, our primary and secondary school teachers right across the country.
Each person who nominates a great teacher will receive a 10% discount on fixed brace consultation from sponsors of the programme David McConville Orthodontists. Based in Donegal and Sligo, David McConville specialises in Orthodontics.
Nominations are now open for the title of Teacher of the Year and will close on 15th June 2012. Entries will be judged based on submissions of 500 words or less on why the nominated teacher should receive the accolade Teacher of the Year 2012, as well as any primary evidence including videos, photos, anecdotes or stories. As a guide, entries are asked to consider the teacher’s excellence in the following areas:
