Looking for something fun to do this Christmas Break with the kids? How about some ice skating? We have compiled a list of places where to go ice skating in Dublin and round Ireland:
Ice Skating in Cork
Cork on Ice at Mahon Point runs until January 26th, closed Christmas Day. Penguins available for small kids and special kiddies skating area.
Ice Skating in Donegal
Century Ice in Letterkenny is next door to Century Cinemas, suitable for all ages and is open Wednesday to Sunday weekly and everyday during the holidays. Tickets are available to book online at www.centurycinemas.ie.
Ice Skating in Dublin
Dundrum on Ice in Dundrum Town Centre runs until 12th January with Family tickets from €30. Penguins for small kids available at this rink in Pembroke Square. Off Peak Times are the first three sessions of each day.
Swords on Ice runs until 5th January beside the Pavilions town centre in Swords. Family tickets from €30, with penguins for small kids. Off Peak Times are the first three sessions of each day.
Winterfest Ice Rink is at Point Village until 12th January.
Galway City on Ice is located at Ocean Site in the Harbour district on Dock Road just 200 metres from Eyre Square this year and runs until 5 January 2014 and is open 7 days a week except Christmas day. Family tickets from €30.
Ice Skating in Kilkenny
Kilkenny on Ice is open until 12th January, closed Christmas Day, has 600 square meters of real ice, and the Mammoth Ice Slide which is 30 meters of real ice. Also making a reappearance this year are Bungee Trampolines and Rodeo Reindeer.
Ice Skating in Limerick
Limerick on Ice is celebrating 10 years at Arthur’s Quay until 5th January. Limited number of skate-aids available to find your feet. Skate School on Sunday mornings and Late Skate evening sessions for 2 hour slots.
Ice Skating in Waterford
Waterford on Ice is at the Quays. 55 minute sessions with family tickets available, all 1st sessions of the day are for Under 12s and families only. Runs until 12th January.
