Based in Dublin but with classes all over Ireland SuperHands is a 100% irish organisation using Isl (Irish sign language) to help babies communicate before they can talk!
Why sign with your baby?
There are many benefits to signing with your baby. It can help:
- Reduce tantrums and frustration, allowing your baby to feel (s)he is understood
- Increase the bond between parent and baby
- Accelerate speech; baby signers tend to talk earlier than non signers
- Let parents have a better understanding of their baby’s wants, needs and personality
- Enhance baby’s self-expression, confidence and self-esteem
- Stimulate intellectual development and improve memory
Here you can take a look at the research to get a full picture of all the reasons signing is a great thing to do with your little one.
Baby sign language is for all babies. SuperHands are teaching the babies of Ireland to effectively communicate using sign language before they can even talk.
Using Irish sign language (ISL) SuperHands show parents and babies a series of simple signs that they can use at home together. So your baby could tell you “I’m hungry”, “I want my milk” or “I see a doggie!” as early as 7 or 8 months.
See some SuperHands baby signer’s testimonials.
Classes are currently run in Dublin, Laois, Cork, Kildare, Clare and Tipperary, with new areas being added all the time.
Each baby sign course runs for 6 weeks and costs €100 which includes book and CD.
Classes are for parents, or carers, and their babies. The suggested age for babies is between 4 mths – 24 mths.
Advanced baby sign (baby sign two) is €90 and is for those who have completed the first course.
We sign with songs and poems for a half hour and then have half an hour to have a cup of tea and a biscuit and practice our signs. Or just chat!

At the Little Gym, our classes combine gymnastics, sports, music, and games providing an exciting learning experience that evolves week by week.
We cater to children ages 4 months to 12 years old; each program is specifically researched and designed to enhance the development of that age group.
Small group numbers and a non-competitive environment allow each child to flourish with close guidance from our highly-trained instructors; our students are encouraged to try their best, not be the best which helps grow their self-esteem and confidence. We’re all about learning through movement, fun, and imagination too. All of our children are encouraged to make friends and take turns in a warm and nurturing environment…we call this serious fun!!
